Niar Rose
Hi! My name is Niar Ibrahim Rose (Syahriar Nur Maulana Malik Ibrahim), and I am a researcher in the Pombubpa Laboratory at Chulalongkorn University. I recently completed my PhD in Microbiology and Microbial Technology under the supervision of Dr. Nuttapon Pombubpa.
I received my Bachelor’s degree in Biology from Universitas Airlangga, Indonesia, and my Master’s degree in Biotechnology from Chulalongkorn University. My research interests focus on environmental microbiology, microbial diversity, fungal pathogens, and antifungal resistance from a One Health perspective.
My work integrates field sampling, laboratory-based microbiology, molecular identification, and computational approaches, including metabarcoding, metagenomics, whole-genome sequencing, and bioinformatics. I am particularly interested in understanding the environmental reservoirs, ecology, evolution, and genomic characteristics of clinically relevant microorganisms, especially fungal pathogens.
